Apart from journalistic work, I've also held jobs in the restaurant industry on and off since I was 15 years old as a server, busser, and barista. I've sold makeup in a pink jumpsuit at the Glossier storefront in Georgetown, D.C. I've also interned for local media organizations in central New York.

Growing up in the D.C. area informed my belief in the importance of accessible and digestible information. Like many others, I believe that knowledge is our biggest source of power. This core belief has fueled a motivation to understand others by listening. 

Alongside listening, my skills in pattern recognition and contextualization which i've developed through my study of history have greatly helped me through the start of my career as a journalist.
